Happy Monday!
It's totally ok to start using the word "happy" in front of Monday when it's after 5:00 pm.
The weather was fabulous this weekend in Minneapolis which made for an even more fabulous weekend!
On Friday night Hubby MD and I went to the usual watering hole by our house (is it sad all the bartenders know us by name and some even know where we live??) for some end-of-the-longest-work-week-ever cocktails. Delicious.
Cold. Refreshing. Delicious.

Saturday was an interesting day...
Hubby MD and the boys (most by the way are single, so if you have any single friends that are looking LMK as I think I will start taking applications so I can get some girls into our crew) all went golfing and I had a much anticipated day to myself.
Well, by 10:30 I talked myself into thinking I was having an appendicitis and went to the clinic. In my defense, I had not been feeling well
ALL week (no, not preggo but that's been the #1 prognosis) with really bad stomachaches and now the pain had shifted to my right side.
At the clinic they told me that I needed to provide a urine sample. Sure, no big deal... unless you just went to the bathroom before you left the house and drove 1 mile to the clinic. So, they had me drink literally 10 glasses of water to get things going again.
In the mean time they thought it would be fun to take that opportunity to get my weight and height. Looking for a way to kill your self-confidence and go into a self-pity depression? Drink 10 glasses of water and then immediately go weight yourself. I requested that number not go into my file as I never needed to see it again. Seriously.
Next was temperature. Oh wait, no temperature as my mouth was too cold from all the water to read the thermometer.
Yep, things were off to a great start at the clinic. Don't worry they got better - next stop was to get blood drawn.
Ugh! So, after all the lab work was done and the doctor poked around I went home with my appendices still in-tact.
After the appendicitis debacle I did what I intended to do with my day to begin with - go for a run and go get a massage and facial. It was fabulous. I still didn't feel 100%, but was relieved to know I was going to make it another day.

Sunday was one of those days I never wanted to end...
I drank coffee in my PJ's while reading the Sunday paper and organizing my kitchen.
Reggie and I met some friends at the dog park for a chilly morning walk, and it was awesome.
Reg begged for an ice coffee from Starbucks the whole way home so I finally caved and got him one.
Sunday afternoon the weather was perfect to pound the pavement and jam out. Busted out over 6.5 miles while jamming to some old school Red Hot Chili Peppers. Did I tell you I got tickets to their concert in October in Minneapolis? Pretty excited.
And if an already fabulous weekend couldn't better I went and made this scrumptious Shrimp & Asparagus Linguini...
Happy Hubby MD. Happy Tummy. Happy Life.
